LONG BIOGRAPHY:

Growing up Elizabeth Lyons’ life was filled with music and entertaining. From church choir, classical piano lessons, 18 musical theatre productions, tons of dance lessons, figure skating solos, to making music videos with friends and her sisters and putting on shows in her backyard for the neighborhood, it was obvious music is what made her happy. Between growing up wanting to be a Spice Girl or the next Dixie Chick’s with her sisters, learning her Mom’s favorite Carole King’s Tapestry album on piano, and falling in love with the classic vinyl and country music her Dad and Grandparents in Iowa inspired her and her sisters to listen, Elizabeth was influenced by all music.

As a Kappa Kappa Gamma and Radio, Television & Film studies freshman in college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Elizabeth applied & got a summer internship in Nashville filled with learning about the music industry. Her parents however said graduating from college came first- as it's something you can't take away from you and will always have- plus she loved school & academics- she could research & see if she had what it takes to be an artist in Nashville, TN. Elizabeth fell in love with Nashville that summer interning for a music publishing company began observing acts like Florida Georgia Line and Chase Rice take off as they begun their career independently.

Two years later she decided she would transfer to Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee to finish her degree & pursue music at the same time. Establishing herself on campus as a leader and releasing her self-titled debut EP currently an Album All-Time Bestseller Under $8 on iTunes and What's Hot on the cusp of graduating from Vanderbilt, Elizabeth was shaking up the iTunes, Mediabase, and Billboard charts all from her couch in her apartment on Music Row and in between classes. Since then she graduated from Vanderbilt University, sold over 75,000 songs, an impressive feet for any artist let alone a completely ‘DYI’ independent one, had her first single “Everything Tonight” was played by John Mark's on Sirius Xm The Highway’s On the Horizon show and went to #8 on Country Music Video on iTunes. Country Music Association awarded her "Who New to Watch in 2014". She was also voted as Music Row Discovery artist from this single.

Next released singles #PartyRules & Jeep! Her #PartyRules video went to  #1 on the Country Music Video iTunes chart and was played on CMT’s Pure channel charting #4! Both songs were played on the radio across the country. She has performed at clubs, festivals, fairs, fundraisers, business, colleges, schools, country clubs across the country sharing the stage with many acts to include a few: Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum, Hunter Hayes, Sam Hunt, Alabama, Dierks Bentley, Cole Swindell, Chase Rice, Cheap Trick, Thomas Rhett, Randy Houser. Early believers like Joe’s Bar owner in Chicago, IL and Summerfest’s CEO fell in love with her spark plug personality and talent, and she soon found herself in more high profile gigs like singing the “National Anthem” at Wrigley Field and performing her original songs at CMA Music Festival, Summerfest, Windy City Smoke Out, Country Jam, Country USA, Country on the River, Country Stampede, Country Thunder and Mardi Gras.

“My parents always told me the best way to get things done is to do it yourself,” said Lyons who's serves as her own CEO of her business ElizabethLyonsMusic - managing her own indie label Roar Records, LLC- she is a young entrepreneur and takes pride in creating the American Dream her own upstart business - she serves as creative coordinator, art director, publicity coordinator, booking agent, A&R, radio promoter, business manager and social media coordinator. “I’ve have had to 'think outside the box’ to accomplish this mostly on my own, supplementing with help and guidance from my family and advice from meetings with industry people. I hope that I can be a mentor and be the example for that dreamer at a school outside Nashville and show him/her that anything is possible if you work hard to learn the business, get experience interning and speaking with industry people, and most importantly, exercise patience, persistence, and perseverance.” And you can do music and graduate from college.

Lyons has country fans anxiously waiting for the release of her sophomore country album “I’ve Never” which is a result of a highly successful PledgeMusic campaign called ‘Lyons Pride’.

Recorded in Nashville, the EP features some of Nashville’s best-known: produced by Brad Hill (Brothers Osborne, Maren Morris, Brett Young), Writers: Jason Massey (Kelsea Ballerini, Haley & Michaels), Dan Swinimer (Jojo Mason, Madeline Merlo), Heidi Raye and Georgia Thomas.

Lyons promoted her #IveNever album visiting college campus’ Country Music Association Education chapters speaking about her experiences in the industry. Some of the CMAEDU chapters Lyons will visit include University of Iowa, University of Wisconsin, University of Michigan, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, University of Florida, and Alabama. “I wish I had something like this where I could learn from Nashville while I was at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Maybe I wouldn't have transferred if I had CMAEDU. I remember being lost when attempting to figure out how to apply to internships or how to get into the music world and learn about it inside out. I want to help educate. It is my goal. More than ever as an artist it is important to know the business as much as the music. People like Taylor Swift and Luke Bryan have set that example by running their brands and businesses and working from the ground up.”
